How it works
Step 1: Schedule a Visit with Us
Once you have an item you'd like to sell. Call us toll free at 888-556-4197 and one of our sales specialists will come over to your house or place of work and help you determine what to sell and how much it is worth. We will go over each item, conduct a quick online research to help estimate its value and sign both a sales agreement and an item release form that protect you and your property. We will then take the item/s with us and start the selling process.
Step 2: We prepare the item
Once at our warehouse, we'll research your items once again, take high quality photographs and list your item/s with the appropriate online auction service. We'll then send you an email with a link to the auction, so that you can watch all the action as it occurs.
Step 3: We ship the item and send you a check!
When the auction ends and we receive payment from the winning bidder, we securely pack and ship your items. Once the buyer/s receives your items, we send you a check!
Fees
Fortune Garage does not charge you anything upfront to list your item. Once your item sells, we deduct our commission fee before sending you a check for the balance.
Our Commission
Typically, Fortune Garage's commission is 35% of the final sales price up to $500, 25% on the amount above $500, 20% on the amount over $2,500, and 15% on the amount over $5,000.

Items We Accept for Sale
Fortune Garage can help you sell items that:
- Have an Expected Value (either alone or combined) of $100 or more on eBay.
- Weigh Less Than 150 Pounds
- Measure Less Than 130 Inches in Lenght + Girth Combined (To find the girth, add the two shortest sides of the item and multiply by 2.)
Items that sell best are usually new or in good used condition, working order and in original packaging. Receipts, optional accessories, manuals, and warranty cards are always a bonus and help yield higher final prices.
Oversized Items
Have something large to sell. No problem! We won't take the item over to our warehouse but we'll still take care of the whole selling process (create a professional listing and post your item on eBay) and once your item sells and we have collected payment, we will arrange for the winning bidder or a freight service to transport it.
Vehicles
We offer a $500 fixed rate commission for vehicle listings. We are happy to work with charities on a pro bono basis. Contact us for more details.

It's easy to determine the value of an item from your own home. Simply visit www.ebay.com and search for items up for auction that are similar to yours.
